MOSS Companion is designed to work locally on your device. It does not require an account and does not use advertising, analytics or tracking services. We do not sell personal information.
Information you create
The app lets you create schedules, segments, activities, saved days, repeating schedules and personalisation choices. This information is stored locally in the app’s private storage and is used to provide the visual schedule, clock, boards and widgets you choose.
Backups
If you choose to create a backup, MOSS Companion creates a file containing your app settings and schedule information. You choose where that file is saved or shared using Android’s system tools. MOSS does not upload or remotely store the backup. Anyone with access to a backup file may be able to restore its contents, so keep it somewhere appropriate for you.
Widgets and Android services
Android widget services are used to keep your chosen home-screen widgets current. Schedule information needed for those widgets remains on your device.
Data collection and sharing
We do not collect, transmit or share your schedules, activities, preferences, advertising identifiers or usage activity. The app does not contain third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Google Play and Android may process information independently when you download, update or use platform services. Their handling of information is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy; we do not receive that platform data.
Retention and deletion
Your information remains on your device until you remove it in the app, clear the app’s data through Android settings, or uninstall MOSS Companion. Because we do not hold a server-side copy, there is no online account or cloud record for us to delete.
Children’s privacy
MOSS Companion does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The app’s local-only data handling applies to everyone who uses it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available here and show its effective date above.
